Tweaking the Simulation
The main way to tweak the simulation is to add blue to your input image. Note that in the previous results, the lightning followed the blue lines along the spine of the letter Z fairly closely. For example, we had not specified a spine,
./examples/spineless.ppm
then we would have obtained the following result:
LumosQuad spineless.ppm spineless.exr
In this case, the shape of the overall letter is not well-preserved, and more hints are necessary. If we instead wanted to have a well-defined Z but not such a severe line from the spine, we could draw a 'breakcrumb trail' of blue:
./examples/hint.ppm
which generates the following result:
LumosQuad hint.ppm hint.exr
