Other Collision Detection Packages

The package V-COLLIDE is an n-body processor which uses RAPID to finalize contact status among models. That is, given a collection of models with specified placements in world space, V-COLLIDE's n-body processor determines which pairs of models are potentially in contact, and then calls RAPID with those pairs. V-COLLIDE is intended to make it easier to determine the contacts among many complex models in motion.

Also check out I-COLLIDE collision detection package for large environments composed of convex polytopes. This was a joint project between UNC and University of California, Berkeley researchers. Differences between I-COLLIDE and RAPID are available.
