FORMATTING AND FINAL SUBMISSION INSTRUCTION

GENERAL INFORMATION

The proceedings of SCA 2003 will be available through both ACM and Eurographics digital Libraries.  However, due to the mutual agreement between SIGGRAPH and Eurographics, the proceedings of SCA 2003 will be published in EG format, not ACM SIGGRAPH format.  But, you are only required to sign the Eurographics copyright form.  Please sign and fax the copyright form back to Stephen Spencer by Friday, May 16, 2003.

COPYRIGHT

Here is the URL for the Eurographics Copyright Form (to be completed, signed, and faxed to Stephen Spencer at 1-206-543-2969):

PAGE LIMIT

There is a page limit for all papers.  See the following guideline.  Please use the page count of your original submission to find the appropriate page limit for your final submissions:

No. of Pages in SIGGRAPH        Page Limit in EG Format

             4                      4 b/w + 1 color plate

             6                      7 b/w + 1 color plate

             8                      10 b/w + 1 color plate

            10                      12 b/w + 1 color plate

            12                      15 b/w + 1 color plate

Based on our test trials, we believe that this new guideline should allow sufficient number of pages for conversion from SIGGRAPH to EG format.  Please contact the program chairs, if you need additional pages for your final submission.  If possible, please try to fit your papers in an even number of proceedings pages (not including the color plate).  But, do not sacrifice the quality or the content of your paper to achieve this.  Once again, please try to address the reviewers' comments as much as you can.

FINAL SUBMISSION OF MATERIALS

The final version of all papers and signed copyright forms are due Friday, May 16, 2003.  Authors shall submit the papers and color images to

http://www.precisionconference.com

AND email them to Stephen Spencer (spencer@cs.washington.edu). And, at the same time, fax the signed copyright forms to Stephen Spencer at +1-206-543-2969, AND send the originals by post to

Symposium on Computer Animation

It is essential that all authors send their copyright forms with the papers, otherwise the whole book will be delayed!  ACM does not start printing before they have all copyright forms!

SUPPLEMENTARY MATERIALS

You may also submit supplementary videos or images for inclusion in the symposium CD.  Each paper is given a total of 16 MB for both the paper and the supplementary materials.  You can allocate this amount anyway you like.  For example, 1 MB for the pdf file and 16 MB for the mpg file.  Or, 3 MB for the paper and 13 MB for the video.  All supplementary materials are due on Friday, May 23, 2003.   Please submit your video or other supplementary materials via the symposium submission website at:
