Brief Biography:
Paul J. Tanenbaum is chief of the Engineering Analysis Branch of
the US Army Research Laboratory's Survivability/Lethality Analysis Directorate,
where he manages the production of modeling and simulation tools and the
algorithms and input data for them. He
is also currently cochairing an initiative to develop
a long-term vision and strategic business plan for the directorate. Dr. Tanenbaum's
previous positions include leadership of and participation in the software
development group and, before that, a vulnerability analysis team. The recipient of various honors, including
the Army's Research and Development Achievement Award for Technical Excellence,
he received his masters and doctorate degrees in computer science from the
Johns Hopkins University.
