William Baxter

William Baxter received his PhD in Computer Science in 2004 from the
University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where he was supported by
fellowships from the the Link Foundation and NVIDIA. He received a
B.S. in EE from Yale University in 1995, after which he spent 3
years working for a software tools company in Reston Virgina
before returning to graduate school. His dissertation topic at
UNC-Chapel Hill was on physically based methods for
interactive digital painting, and his current research areas
include haptic rendering, physically-based simulation, and
non-photorealistic rendering. He is currently a senior resarcher
at OLM Digital in Tokyo.
